Airline loyalty program promotions (April 2024)

Airline loyalty programs can offer trip discounts on certain dates, the chance to earn more miles for future travel and deals to rack up points toward elite status. We collected some of this month’s active deals below.

Targeted Delta SkyMiles offer with Starbucks

Delta SkyMiles collectors and Starbucks loyalists, this one’s for you. If you’ve linked your Starbucks and SkyMiles accounts, you may be eligible for a targeted promo to earn bonus SkyMiles this week.

• Eligible Delta flyers can earn 500 bonus miles by making purchases at Starbucks three times in one week.
• You must have your Delta and Starbucks accounts linked.
• Find the email or app notification about the deal to enroll. You can also link your accounts on the partnership website.
• Each Starbucks purchase must be at least $2, excluding taxes and tips.
• You must visit Starbucks three times by March 31 to earn bonus SkyMiles.

Wyndham Rewards timeshare presentation offer

Wyndham Rewards is offering bonus points and a discount on a three-night getaway to select destinations in the U.S. for attending a timeshare presentation.

• Book a three-night getaway to Orlando; Clearwater Beach, Florida; Destin, Florida; Las Vegas; Smoky Mountains, Tennessee; or Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for $199 and get 30,000 Wyndham Rewards points in exchange for attending a two-hour timeshare presentation.
• The offer is available to people at least 28 years old who meet “financial eligibility requirements.”
• The offer expires April 9. You must complete your stay by Dec. 31.

Credit card promotions (April 2024)

Credit card issuers sometimes offer deals and discounts for certain cardholders on everything from airline travel to restaurant dining. We rounded up some credit card promotions that are active now (some offers may be targeted).

Targeted American Express offer on purchases at Coachella

If you hold an American Express card (specifically the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card) and are targeted for the offer, you could earn cash back in the form of a statement credit on purchases with participating on-site merchants at Coachella.

• Get a one-time $10 statement credit when you use an enrolled eligible American Express card to spend at least $100 with participating on-site merchants at Coachella.
• Coachella will be held April 12-14 and April 19-21 in Indio, California.

• Enroll in a Sixt rental car status match with multiple airline and hotel program partners.
• Earn extra United Airlines MileagePlus miles for donations to racial justice organizations. You must be the primary cardholder of a select United cobranded credit card to be eligible and donate by March 31 to receive the bonus miles.
• Earn Frontier Airlines Elite Silver status by flying in March. Register for the promotion and book two round-trip flights between March 15 and 31. Trips must be completed by March 31, and the status earned through this promotion will be valid for the remainder of 2024.
• Earn bonus Avianca LifeMiles via Marriott Bonvoy on stays in Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America if you adjust your earning preference on your Marriott Bonvoy profile, book with the deal’s promo code by April 30 and complete travel by May 31.
• Enroll in an Air France-KLM Flying Blue status match opportunity if you are a United Kingdom resident. Successful enrollment in the status match is contingent upon submitting an application, proving equivalent elite status in one of 13 eligible airline loyalty programs and paying a fee determined by your status match level. There is no publicly available end date for this promotion.
• Earn bonus World of Hyatt points for attending a virtual timeshare presentation. Must reside in an eligible U.S. state and meet an annual income requirement, among other requirements. You must request information here to learn more about this promotion. There is no publicly available end date for this offer.
• Earn bonus points as a targeted IHG One Rewards member when you register by March 31 and book a trip through March 31.
• Receive a discount as an IHG One Rewards member on reward nights in Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America when you book and stay by March 31. This offer is only available to select IHG One Rewards members.
• Earn Marriott Bonvoy bonus points on select Courtyard stays when you book by April 3 using the offer’s promotional code.
• Earn bonus points on stays at participating Accor Live Limitless hotels (full list here) when you register and book by April 14 for a stay completed by June 2.
• Earn bonus points and up to a 25% discount as a Wyndham Rewards member on stays in Southeast Asia when you book through the offer’s link by April 25 and complete a stay by April 30.
• Earn bonus points for stays at Choice Privileges properties when you register for the promotion and stay at participating properties twice by April 30.
• Earn triple rewards points on Accor Live Limitless stays in North and Central America when you book and register by April 30.
• Earn bonus points as an IHG One Rewards member for stays at Iberostar Beachfront properties when you register for the offer and complete your stay by May 20.
• Earn a digital Costco Shop Card for eligible vacation packages (destinations listed here) as a Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi (see rates and fees) cardholder by entering your promo code at checkout, booking travel by April 30 and completing travel by Aug. 31.
• Earn cash back on spending with The Motley Fool or American Airlines AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points from the American Airlines shopping portal when purchasing a Motley Fool subscription as an American Express cardmember. The offer expires May 5.
• Get an exclusive rate on tickets to the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte between May 8 and 12 with a Wells Fargo card. The offer is available to select Wells Fargo customers while supplies last.

• Earn cash back on minimum spending on a stay at Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy. The offer expires April 15.
• Targeted Delta American Express cardholders may be eligible for a $100 Delta credit. You must enroll in the promotion by April 15, book a round-trip Delta flight costing at least $350 (including taxes and fees) on your enrolled Delta card by April 30, and spend $1,500 in purchases on your enrolled Delta Amex card between March 15 and April 30.
• Earn American Express Membership Rewards points on recreational vehicle rentals with Cruise America. The offer expires April 19.
• Earn cash back on a Sixt+ car rental subscription. The offer expires April 29.
• Earn cash back on stays at Hyatt properties in Canada. The offer expires April 30.
• Earn additional Membership Rewards points when spending with ITA Airways. The offer expires May 3.
• Earn bonus Membership Rewards points when spending with Oceania Cruises. The offer expires May 7.
• Earn cash back as a statement credit on purchases at participating Viceroy Hotels and Resorts (U.S. city stays). The offer expires May 14.
