Book Qatar Qsuites: Open business-class award space for just 70K Avios

Qatar Airways offers an amazing business-class product called Qatar Qsuite on many of its long-haul aircraft. However, finding Qatar-operated business-class award space to or from the U.S. can sometimes be challenging.

That’s why we’re excited to report you’ll currently find better-than-usual Qatar business-class award space bookable through British Airways and JetBlue from some U.S. airports to Doha. We recommend searching for award availability between the U.S. and Doha’s Hamad International Airport (DOH) through British Airways Executive Club or the Seats.aero Qsuite Finder. You can also book using JetBlue TrueBlue points or Qatar Avios via Qatar Airways Privilege Club. Unfortunately, you won’t see most of this availability if you search via American Airlines AAdvantage or Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan.

This deal was first reported by Find Flights For Me, which found award space from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW); Dulles International Airport (IAD) near Washington, D.C.; Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to DOH in February and March 2025. View from the Wing is also reporting some availability from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Miami International Airport (MIA).

You may be able to book onward connections from Doha, but you’ll need to redeem more Avios or JetBlue points. As such, you may prefer spending at least a few days in Doha before using a separate ticket for onward travel.

It’s also worth mentioning that not every Qatar long-haul aircraft has QSuite seating in business class. So, you’ll want to try to ensure your aircraft has QSuite seating before you book. Know, though, that since this deal is for flights so far in the future, you may see one or more aircraft swaps before departure.

Deciding how to book Qatar QSuite

You won’t find business-class award space daily, so you may need to be flexible regarding your dates and departure city in the U.S. For some dates and routes, you may only see one seat. That said, it’s worth spending some time searching for award space if you want to fly Qatar business class next spring.

Here’s one example from ATL to DOH bookable through all three loyalty programs. You could redeem 80,000 JetBlue points and pay $7.65 in taxes and fees.

Or, you could redeem 70,000 Avios and pay $99.85 in taxes and fees if you booked through Qatar Privilege Club.

Finally, you could redeem 70,000 Avios and pay $104.35 in taxes and fees if you booked through British Airways Executive Club.

Remember that you can transfer Avios between programs, so you may want to book through Qatar Privilege Club if you plan to redeem Avios to save a little on taxes and fees. However, it’s also worth considering change and cancellation fees for each program if your plans might change.

Earning the points and miles you need

Your best bet to accrue Avios is to transfer flexible rewards currencies to British Airways Executive Club or one of its partners that also uses Avios. For instance, you can transfer American Express Membership Rewards points, Bilt Rewards Points, Capital One miles and Chase Ultimate Rewards points to British Airways Executive Club at a 1:1 ratio. You can also transfer Citi ThankYou Rewards points to Qatar Privilege Club at a 1:1 ratio.

If you prefer to book through JetBlue, you can earn JetBlue points quickly by transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points, Citi ThankYou points or American Express Membership Rewards points to JetBlue. However, note that some of these transfers will be at less than a 1:1 ratio.
