Four Seasons will open a hotel in Deer Valley
Ski season is about to get more luxurious in Park City, Utah. Four Seasons just announced a new luxury resort and private residence in Deer Valley East Village, an expansion of Deer Valley Resort.
Though no timeline has been announced for this forthcoming Four Seasons, plenty of details have been made public about the project, which is being developed by Extell Development Company.
For starters, the resort will have 134 guest rooms and suites and 123 private residences ranging from one to six bedrooms. Many rooms will feature floor-to-ceiling windows, private balconies and even in-room fireplaces.
Amenities across this alpine-focused Four Seasons will include wellness and fitness facilities with saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools and spa treatments; indoor and outdoor pools; various sports courts; an ice rink; and nearby hiking and bike trails.
The resort will also feature four dining experiences, including a ski-in, ski-out lounge with an outdoor terrace and a fireplace — because isn’t the whole point of skiing the apres part?
“We believe a successful development results from a team of exceptional partners working together to deliver excellence. We are certain this will be the case with Four Seasons, who we have embarked on several successful projects with in the past,” said Gary Barnett, founder and chairman of Extell Development Company, the team behind the Park Hyatt New York. “We look forward to creating something remarkable with Four Seasons in Deer Valley as well, as we venture to redefine luxury both on the slopes and off at Deer Valley East Village.”

In good company
Deer Valley East Village, where Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Deer Valley will be located, consists of 3,700 acres of new skiable terrain with lifts and runs alongside tons of dining and shopping outlets.
It’s also home to the now-open Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, a luxe points hotel with 400 rooms and suites, a handful of bars and restaurants, a heated outdoor swimming pool and a soon-to-open spa. For folks looking to hit the slopes on points, rooms at the Grand Hyatt start at 21,000 World of Hyatt points per night, but ski season will see rates top out at peak rates of 29,000 points per night.
Unfortunately, Four Seasons is yet to launch a loyalty program, but folks can still score some elitelike perks by booking Four Seasons properties through a program like American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts or Chase’s The Edit.
